Tree and Shrub Sale
SOLD OUT FOR 2024!
Over the past few years, many of you suggested that we create an ONLINE Tree and Shrub Sale Store that would allow customers to place their orders, pay via credit card, view which species are sold out or have low inventory, view photos of each species, and learn more about tree and shrub characteristics, habitat preferences, and planting tips. We took that to heart and launched our first-ever ONLINE Tree and Shrub Sale Store! Ordering your trees and shrubs online is safe, fast, user-friendly (even for those that aren't very "tech savvy"), and can be done from the comforts of your own home! Many of you have already placed your order online and have provided amazing feedback to us - we are thrilled that you enjoyed it!
Effective January 24, 2024, ALL Tree and Shrub Orders must be placed online via our Tree and Shrub Sale Store: ashlandcotreesale.com. At that time, we will no longer accept orders by mail/check. Doing so allows us to track orders and payments MUCH more efficiently. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
If you have any questions, or would like assistance placing your online order, please feel free to reach out.
Since 1993 the Land & Water Conservation Department has provided landowners with high-quality, low-cost plant stock. The trees and shrubs we sell are native and hardy. Native plants are excellent for conservation on your land. They provide food and wildlife habitat, and their deep roots reduce soil erosion and promote infiltration. Once established, they do not require fertilizer or watering, unless during a drought.
Why care about pollinators?
- Approximately 75% of the world’s food crops require pollination.
- Berries, apples, cherries, pears, melons, squash, and more require pollination.
- Pollinators include bees, flies, wasps, butterflies, moths, & hummingbirds.
- Bees are important pollinators for many plants and recent declines are alarming.
What Can You do?
- Grow plants that flower from early spring to late fall.
- Provide pollinator nesting sites.
- Eliminate use of all pesticides.
